The Challenge

In today’s fast-tracked business environment, applications that work in silos hamper an organization’s productivity across departments. Comwell Systems Group was also facing integration issues with its existing security awareness training solution — it did not allow customizations, hampering the MSP’s ability to deliver tailored training programs.

The Solution

After implementing the Datto Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform to secure, monitor and manage its clients’ endpoints, Comwell Systems Group came across Kaseya’s other offerings, such as BullPhish ID, Dark Web ID, RapidFire Tools and Datto Autotask. The MSP observed that these solutions have superior integrations with one another and decided to implement them to take its productivity to the next level.

Comwell Systems Group switched to BullPhish ID for security awareness training, enabling it to create customized phishing simulations and training campaigns based on its clients’ needs. With BullPhish ID, they also have the option of using many ready-made, plug-and-play phishing kits relevant to specific clients. Recently, one of Comwell’s clients started a SharePoint project. The MSP used the SharePoint phishing kit available on BullPhish ID to train the end users on cyberattacks that use SharePoint login as a phishing lure.

Moreover, BullPhish ID allows the MSP to create its own phishing kits for unique threats that are not yet widely known. The solution also saves the MSP time by allowing the technicians to schedule future training or phishing simulation campaigns up to a year in advance and randomize the send times and phishing messages to make training more effective. The best part is that the MSP got these features at a far more affordable price than its previous training solution provider.

Comwell Systems Group uses Dark Web ID to monitor the dark web for any credential compromises of clients’ domains. Once the solution finds a compromise, the MSP immediately notifies the client about the potential risk, which allows the client to take timely precautions. The MSP’s clients that use Dark Web ID get a monthly report of their dark web exposure. Comwell also uses Dark Web ID to run one- time scans for dark web compromises while performing Virtual CIO reviews for its clients.

LOOKING AHEAD

Going forward, Comwell Systems Group plans to leverage the latest update of BullPhish ID to push phishing simulations or training campaigns to multiple client organizations simultaneously. The MSP also intends to leverage Dark Web ID’s integration with Autotask PSA to issue tickets whenever one of its clients has a new dark web compromise.

As cyber insurance carriers have increased security requirements for organizations to get coverage, Comwell Systems Group plans to raise awareness among their clients about the significance of implementing cybersecurity tools to get optimum coverage at affordable premiums.
